More About Studio Recording Software
Since 2000 in the market of musical software there were series of eJay programs, developed by PXD Software GmbH. The names of the programs corresponded to the styles of modern music, for which creation have been intended: eJay Techno, Hip Hop eJay Rave, Rap and eJay Dance. Subsequently they have been modernized, new opportunities of editing were added, and the number of working tracks and quantity of used samples was increased. For today each of them have 2 or 3 versions. Their general characteristic is: 12-16 monopaths for work, including one separate drum-track and a track for record of an external source (a microphone, a guitar, keyboard, etc.). At last release eJay Dance 3 already has 32 paths and an opportunity of record from an external source for all tracks, except for a shock track. From three up to five thousand high-quality samples are created specially in studios for eJay programs by professional vocalists and musicians.
Samples are organized on sections in the form of multi-coloured cubes. There are great sets of vocal and a rap-preparations, interesting noise-effects, parties of sequencers, keyboard, bass-lines, live guitars with enough deep opportunity of editing, convenient and simple interface. Simply moving the necessary party of the tool on the window of editing, you have an opportunity to create professional compositions on sounding, even if you have no musical education and in general you are not able to play on any instrument.
The ready product is exported in *.wav - format and at need is edited through other programs. It is possible to create own shock sets, to think out drum-type loops. THE built in rhythm-computers " Drum Generator" or "Groove Generator " are delivered with more than 500 shock sounds and mass effects, for giving originality of sounding composition.
The built in Bass-line synthesizer in eJay Techno is with several hundreds presets. In eJay Hip Hop 2 there is an interesting Scratch Generator, which allows thinking out the various effects similar to distortions, created on vinyl disks. Having written down the voice through the microphone, it is possible to diversify it with various filters, to add an echo, delay, robot's effect, etc. Requirements to the computer are minimal: Pentium II with 300 mHz, 64 MB RAM, 4-x Speed CD-ROM drive, 170 MB is enough for such purposes, but the sound card should support Direct Sound.
